Hi!

I’m Julia.

For most of my life I have been working in kitchens, bakeries and farms. It’s been a wild ride and I was able to pick up a lot of skills, experiences and knowledge along the way. However, I realized somewhere along the way that cooking could not be a sustainable career choice for me. So it was time to put my big girl pants on and I signed up for university to become an artist.

I have always found a creative outlet for me while working full time. Wether it was embroidering massive quilts, carving spoons out of fruit tree wood or drawing- creativity has always been a big part in my life. So I decided to give in to it and to see what would come out in the end.

It’s still a process and I think it will always be (which is also the fun part). I love learning new skills. It might be my favorite thing to do- also it keeps my screen time down. I love working with other creatives, seeing what they do and what techniques they use and getting giddy for a new project.

One thing that I have always found extremely important is the need to not take myself too seriously. I love things that have a sort of ease to them and something humorous to take the edge off a little bit.
